Alton Community Centre

The Centre is a public facility, operated by Alton Community Association (an independent charity), offering rooms for people to hire and a range of important community services. We are open Monday to Saturday (Sunday by special arrangement) and the Reception desk is manned during office hours.

You might be looking for a meeting room to hire or want to brush up on your artistic skills, need a playgroup for your child or want to be entertained - we do all this and much, much more.  A wide range of people from all walks of life use the centre, both as private room hirers, and as users of the centre's many services.  For instance, the University of the Third Age (U3A) is our biggest single room hirer and they offer people over the age of 50 a vast range of volunteer-run classes to suit most people's interests.

Our Playgroup was recently awarded 'Grade 1 Outstanding' by Ofstead, and the Lounge Bar franchise offers Friday night music on most weeks of the year.  Our Adult Education programme (East Hampshire Leisure Learning) is popular, as are the Disco Tots events held most weeks.  There is not enough space to list everything we do here, so we invite you to explore this website to find out more.
