Part of Active Alton

Cricket has been played on the village green in Medstead for well over 150 years.

The Cricket Club is a member of the Hampshire Cricket League, and we play league matches every Saturday between May and the end of August, and Sunday friendly cricket until mid-September.

Because of serious damage to the surface of the Green a major scheme of reinstatement is planned for 2019 and matches will not be able to be played there.    We have been fortunate in being able to arrange to use Four Marks Recreation Ground and all of the Club's "home" matches, both Saturdays and Sundays, will be played there.

The Green will still be able to be used for senior practice nights on Thursdays from 6.30pm, and for Junior coaching sessions on Friday evenings for 6-year-olds and upwards.

The Club will always welcome new faces, so if you are considering taking up the game from scratch or making a comeback after a few years out, or if you would be interested in umpiring or scoring, then do please get in touch.
