Please note that, in light of recent Government recommendations, this event has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Chawton House will look to reschedule it to the Autumn and will be in touch with all ticket-holders soon regarding refunds/transfers.

In this unique afternoon event Jeremy Neville will introduce Fanny Mendelssohn, a German composer and pianist who composed over 460 pieces of music.

Following this will be a rare opportunity to hear one of her 'forgotten' pieces', the Hensel quartet, performed by musicians from The Nall Ensemble. The afternoon will conclude with a performance of the spectacular Schubert Octet.

The talk and performances will take place in the atmospheric setting of the Great Hall at Chawton House, what better way is there to spend a Sunday?
