Join local author and professional storyteller Dawn Nelson, to spend the day in the beautiful gardens at the Wakes as you walk in the footsteps of Gilbert White

Explore the nature and folklore of the winter landscape, build or add to your very own nature journal, discover ways to ‘watch narrowly’, and observe the ebb and flow of the seasons. This workshop is ideal for all levels of Nature Journaler, whether you’re new to recording seasonal observations or you are an experienced journaler looking for new inspiration.

The day will be based at the Field Studies Centre but will include time spent outside; please come dressed for the weather and wearing walking boots or wellies. A light lunch of soup or sandwiches as well as tea and coffee during the day are included in the price. All participants will be given a journal book to take away but please bring a camera or phone to take images for use in the session. All other materials and equipment will be provided.
