Course takes place over four 2 hour Friday sessions, from Friday 21 January to Friday 11 February, 1pm - 3pm
By the end of the course you will be able to
• Describe mindfulness and its benefits
• Identify times that being more mindful would be beneficial
• Use the camera as a focus point to minimise distractions
• Apply the process of photography as a mindful act
• Observe and identify new textures/details in well-known places/objects
• Observe and identify compositional elements such as leading lines
• Observe and identify how light affects an object
• Create and maintain a photography journal •

About the Course
Who is this course for: anyone who wants to learn more about mindfulness and how to use photography as a focus
Previous Knowledge or Experience: No photography knowledge required
How will I learn: by discussion, observation, demonstration and practice
How will I be assessed: by completing a journal and discussions
What shall I bring: Any device can used to take photos such as a phone/tablet and/or camera. Please bring the device with you. Please note we may take trips outside so please dress appropriately

This course is aimed at Hampshire residents aged 19+ Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have.
