Another Round is the story of a four high school teacher friends who start a social experiment to maintain a constant, low level intoxication to see how it affects their social and professional lives. Does alcohol in the blood open the mind to the outside world, make problems seem smaller, and increase creativity? The experiment progresses for some and goes off track for others - daring can also have consequences.

The film won Best International Picture Oscar and BAFTA in 2021, and was nominated for Best Director.

“A brilliantly ambiguous affair, woozy but precise, profound yet playful, confronting matters of life and death with equal vigour, while ultimately raising a toast to the redemptive power of cinema.” [Guardian].

“Take one part deftly directed tragicomedy, add a dash of Mads Mikkelsen in vintage form, and you've got Another Round -- an intoxicating look at midlife crises.” [Rotten Tomatoes]

Join us from 6.30 pm, when the bar will be open, hosted by volunteers from Dementia-friendly Alton.
