Have you got what it takes to be an explorer?

Explorer Activity Days give you the chance to develop new skills: use a compass to navigate your way around our grounds, use flags to send signals across the meadow, create your own map, learn how to follow a trail using secret signs, plus explorer craft activities using natural materials.

Activities are suitable for 7–12-year-olds; children need to be accompanied by an adult. One accompanying adult required for every 4 children booked.

Activities will go ahead whatever the weather except in the case extreme weather. Please come dressed to be outside for the whole session. Please bring a packed lunch.

Adult tickets: £5

Child ticket: £20

John Muir Award:

Our summer activities are designed to count towards the first stage of the Discovery Level John Muir Award, which has four parts: Discover, Explore, Conserve and Share. By attending a series of our educational events across the year, you can complete all four aspects of the award. You will be given the option to sign up for this award on the day if you wish- there is no additional cost involved in completing the award. More information about the award can be found here:
