Christmas celebrations will begin in Alton on Friday 18th November at the Christmas Lights Switch-On event from 4pm-7pm in the High Street.
The Christmas lights, including our new community designed Christmas Lights, will be switched-on by our special guests in front of the Swan Hotel at 5pm.
There will be lots for the whole family to enjoy during the evening:
Free Father Christmas - Bring your Christmas letter to Santa and post it for the elves in the north pole to sort (we expect this free attraction to be popular so queues are likely, but you can enjoy the live entertainment while you’re waiting)
Meet our very own enchanting Ice Queen!
Children’s funfair rides, hot street food & sweet treats from Searle Family Funfairs.
Free face-painting, festival glitter and temporary tattoos from The Luna Makeup Company stall.
Live performances outside the Swan Hotel from Alton Concert Band at 5pm and the Luminosa choirs at 6pm.
There will be lots of community, charity and commercial stalls for everyone browse.
