The series on show reflects the new and uncertain times through experimental processes and illustration. "Lockdown Works" will be presented at The Lounge Bar in Alton between the 4th and 6th of June 2021.
AnaSera Chambers is a creative from Hampshire, who has honed in on illustration and floral design in the last couple of years. Predominantly using black fine liner on sketch paper but more recently exploring colour and different mediums. Her work can be found on Instagram @anaseraart, from framed bespoke pieces to personalised custom cards.
Chris Horner is an artist from Hampshire who explores the relationship between artist and material. He creates artworks through experimental processes by combining pre-used building materials and art supplies. More information about his work can be found out www.chrishornerartist.com Instagram @chrishornerartist and Facebook @chrishornerartist.
The Lounge Bar is delighted to be hosting the artworks of two local supporters of the venue. As we gear up slowly to returning to live music, we wanted to turn our hand to supporting other creatives through our Cultural Recovery Fund. Ana worked with us for a number of years and helped shape the venue in terms of musical direction, moral support and artwork for large events. We are delighted to welcome her home to show how her illustrations have been developing in the meantime. Chris is no stranger to us either, having performed here with his band at many shows. A well-respected artist who is pushing boundaries and building an impressive portfolio of pieces, this is the perfect way to use our venue for something creative before we can dive into the deep end with some much-needed parties and celebrations again! We're using our fund to boost the possibility of creatives getting back on their feet again and giving them tools to further their career without having the burden of the costs of doing so. This project is the perfect way to invite the public in to see a snippet of what we're working on currently - stay tuned for more!
All are welcome to a socially distanced way of supporting local and enjoying art.
