The Bentworth Village Fete is back on Saturday 6th July, and this year’s event will be opened by former sub-postmaster turned campaigner Jo Hamilton - whose story of determination and fortitude was immortalised by Monica Dolan in the ITV drama Mr Bates vs The Post Office

Our fete’s focus this year is on community and Jo embodies this principle, so it’s brilliant that she has agreed to be our special guest.

As usual, the fete will be held on the playing fields next to St. Mary’s School, Bentworth, and will have something for everyone - including art displays, a dog show and dog races, gardening and craft stands, family games, traditional stalls, raffle, tombola, food, beer and a Pimms tent. Proceeds will go to local causes that benefit the community, including the school.

Whatever the weather (!) 6th July is set to be a fun day celebrating beautiful Bentworth and the surrounding Hampshire countryside, so put the date in your diary!
