The course takes place on 5 Fridays from 17 September – 22 October 2021 (there will be no class on 01 October), between 10am and 12pm
By the end of the course you will be able to:
Know how to switch the computer on/off
Know basic terminology
Use a mouse
Understand the layout of the keyboard and important keys
How to open & use Microsoft Word
Understand File management & storage using folders
Know about Health & Safety around computers
Recognise Window features and access Windows Settings
Access the Internet
Use keyboard shortcuts
Who is this course for: Individuals who would like to learn the basics of using a computer and how to get online
Previous Knowledge or Experience: none required, but a willingness to learn
How will I learn: By discussion, demonstration, and practical tasks
How will I be assessed: by completion of tasks and Q&A
What shall I bring: please bring a notebook and pen.

This course is aimed at Hampshire residents aged 19+ Attendance is expected at each session to ensure that you get the most out of your learning experience and to minimise disruption for other learners. Please advise the venue/tutor of any absence you may have.
