Due to developing nature of the Covid-19 (Corona Virus) effects on the UK, it is likely that many of the events listed for the next few weeks and months will be cancelled or postponed, often at short notice. As such it may not always be possible to post a cancellation notice in time for an event.
Known event cancellations will be clearly marked in the event calendar when we are notified of them. Additional information if provided will be listed on the individual event page. We will also make updates via Alton Events social media channels where possible.
If you are planning to attend an event, please check directly with the organising group via the information at the foot of most event’s entry. This is normally a website link to the organisers who should have the most up-to-date information.
Please note that it should not be assumed that unmarked events are taking place. Again where possible please check directly.
If you are the organiser of an event, you can notify us of the current state of your event via the Contact Us form. Please ensure that you state clearly the name, date(s) and venue of any events that you wish to update us on, to avoid any delays or confusion.
Please note that we will only mark events as cancelled if we receive notification from the original listing requestor, or if the cancellation can be verified on your website. This is to protect the integrity of your listing, and to prevent confusion as to whether it is going ahead or not.
