Regency Week: Jane & Me: My Austen Heritage

A talk by Caroline Knight, Jane Austen's fifth great niece and the last Austen descendent to grow up at Chawton House, part of Jane Austen Regency Week 2018

Caroline will talk about her childhood, surrounded by four centuries of family history and the literacy legacy of great-aunt Jane, the loss of Chawton House as her family home (when Caroline was 18), and what led her to create the Jane Austen Literacy Foundation. In a witty and engaging presentation, Caroline will share family photographs and traditions, and the funny happenings with Janeites today.
